Mrs Solloway has been a long-time campaigner for awareness of mental health issues and a conversation with artist Sarah Graham, who is a bipolar sufferer, raised the idea of establishing a night cafe.
Ms Graham said had there been such a facility near where she lived, her suffering "would have been eased significantly".
