Windows xp wireless validating identity certificate

Microsoft is conducting an online survey to understand your opinion of the Technet Web site.If you choose to participate, the online survey will be presented to you when you leave the Technet Web site. None of these changes gets saved.I try to connect, I get a permanent validating identity message and all of the settings I entered are erased.

Let your router do pppoe and routing, it's really designed for that. It seems that currently, your computer is trying to create a pppoe session (which involves logging in, validating identity etc). Change the wireless settings to create a new wireless ssid that you have not used before.

Ok so I setup the router to only transmit wireless N and to use WPA2 only.

When I try to connect using the windows zero configuration utility it gets stuck validating identity.

At the top of the screen, where it says, Choose a wireless network, I get an [endless] Validating identity.

As of recently, she was able to use this computer to connect to a neighbor's/friend's secured wireless netowork and another neighbor's/friend's unsecured wireless network.
